participate in the 1st Pan American ASUA Junior Championships, 18-21
August in Orlando, Florida, USA.

RULES: FINA
rules will govern for all events
ELIGIBILITY: Junior
National Teams, birth years 1987-1990, from all ASUA/UANA Federations.
DELEGATION: Each
participating Federation may send a maximum of twelve (12) athletes, two (2)
coaches, two (2) judges and one (1) team leader.
OFFICIALS: Each
participating Federation may send a maximum of two (2) FINA/ASUA Judges at their
own expense. The names of the Judges must be submitted on the Final Entry
Form. The Host Country and the ASUA TSSC will provide all other officials.
PRACTICE JUDGING: We
are pleased to announce that two (2) additional FINA/ASUA Judges per Federation
may also practice judge and be evaluated at the 1st Pan American ASUA
Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships. Cristina Villicana de Gonzalez,
FINA TSSC member and FINA “A” Judge will be the observer for the competition.
Federations must submit names of the practice judges on the Final Entry Form no
later than 1 August 2005.
COMPETITION: The
competition will consist of Solo and Duet Preliminaries, Figures competition,
followed by Finals in Solo, Duet, Team and Free Routine Combination. Each
participating Federation may enter up to two (2) Solos, two (2) Duets, one (1)
Team and one (1) Free Routine Combination. Only one (1) Solo and one (1) Duet
from each participating Federation will advance to finals.
SCHEDULE:
A detailed tentative schedule is included on page 4 of this Bulletin.
CLINICS:
JUDGES, COACHES & ATHLETES:
ASUA, U.S.
Synchronized Swimming and the Team Orlando Loreleis will host a Judges Clinic
and a Coaches & Athletes Clinic on Friday, 19 August. There will be no charge
to the accredited participants of the 1st Pan American ASUA Junior
Synchronized Swimming Championships to attend. Reservations must be made with
the Final Entry due no later than 1
August 2005.
Please indicate on the Final Entry Form the names
of the people who will be attending the clinics and if an interpreter, is
needed.
AWARDS:
Medals will be awarded for 1st through
3rd places in each event; Solo, Duet, Team and Free Routine
Combination.
PASSPORT CHECK: During
the Team Leader meeting, passports will be checked for each competitor to verify
their age for eligibility purposes.
DEADLINES: Final
Entry Forms to be submitted to U.S. Synchronized Swimming no later than
1 August 2005.

Federation is responsible for their own transportation. Mears Shuttle service

approximately 8 miles from the hotels.
VENUE INFORMATION: YMCA
Aquatic Center is located at 8444 International Drive, Orlando, FL
Indoor facility with 3 pools. The competition will be held
in the Diving pool. The competition area is 25 meters long by 25 yards (22.86
meters) wide. The depth at the entry area is 7 feet (2.13 meters) deep, for
approximately 6 feet (1.83 meters) from the edge, and then slopes to 17 feet
(5.18 meters) deep. There is a 2-foot (.61 meters) step up to the edge of the
pool and a 1-foot (.3 meters) drop from the edge of the pool to the water. A
pool diagram, with starting position indicated, is included on page 5 of this
Bulletin.
SOUND EQUIPMENT: OceanEars
variable speed cassette tape and variable speed CD player will be available.
DAT tapes are not supported. Cassette tapes and CD’s should contain only one
routine per tape or CD. Tapes and CD tracks should be clearly marked for
routines. All music must have a 4-5 second lead.
TRAINING: Training
time in the competition pool on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday will be
allocated per Federation in blocks of time based on the number of entries.
HOSPITALITY: Breakfast,
lunch, snacks and refreshments will be available in the hospitality room at the
pool during competition days for the ASUA TSSC, Officials, Coaches and Team
Leaders.
WELCOME RECEPTION: The
ASUA TSSC, Officials, Coaches and Team Leaders are invited to attend a Welcome
Reception on Thursday, 18 August at the Radisson Barcelo Hotel-Orlando from
17.30-18.30. Refreshments will be served. Please indicate on the Final Entry
Form the number of people who will be attending the Welcome Reception.
SEAWORLD: We
are pleased to be able to offer a special admission price to SeaWorld on Friday,
19 August. The price is $ 25.00 USD per person and includes
admission into the park from 17.00-21.00. Meet Shamu, the world’s most famous
killer whale, experience all the rides, and enjoy many animal attractions,
including touching and feeding dolphins, seals and sea lions. Please indicate
on the Final Entry Form the number of people who will be attending SeaWorld.
Preferred

BANQUET: All
accredited participants, families and friends are invited to the Banquet on
Sunday, 21 August at 17.00. The Banquet will be at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede
Dinner & Show. It is a fun-filled, action-packed Dinner and Show extravaganza
with spectacular special effects and amazing stunts by the performers, amazing
horse feats, fantastic stunt riders, magic and audience participation with a
delicious four-course dinner, plus an exciting Opening Act in the Carriage Room
one hour before the main show. Price per person is $ 30.00 USD
and includes entertainment, a four-course dinner, beverage, tax and gratuity.
Dress is casual. Please indicate on the Final Entry Form the number of people
who will be attending the Banquet.

Registration.
INTERPRETERS: Interpreters can be requested by
completing the INTERPRETERS section of the Final Entry Form.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: The
Organizing Committee asks that all participating Federations provide their
National Anthem on cassette tape or CD.
